Update News: Michael Thomas’s wide receiver works for Saints vs. Falcons
Despite a fear at the end of the seventh year, the New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas is active for Sunday’s crucial matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
The Saints stated on Saturday that Thomas had added injury reports as a problem with a hamstring injury but on Sunday the team announced that Thomas would play.
Having Thomas is a necessity for the saints. His 94 catches 1,085 meters leading the team by a considerable margin. Thomas has been particularly impressive in the past three weeks, a total of 24 hits for 280 yards and three touches.
The inactive players for the Saints are running back to Jonathan Williams, the tight end to Garrett Griffin and Michael Hoomanawanui, Cameron Tom Center, receiver Austin Carr wide and defensive end Trey Hendrickson and Al-Quadin Muhammad. The Saints have eliminated Griffin (foot), Hoomanawanui (concussion) and Hendrickson (ankle) on Friday.
Without Griffin and Hoomanawanui, the Saints would only rely on two tight ends Sunday, Josh Hill and more – added John Phillips. Hill is also dealing with a shoulder injury.
For the Falcons, left guard Andy Levitre (triceps) is the most inactive player, and the Saints’ defensive line will try to take advantage of his absence. Other non-active Atlanta players are Nick Williams, Rooney Deji Olatoye and Leon McFadden, linebacker Sean Weatherspoon, defending Sean Harlow and Eric Saubert.
