Update: Santa Praying With Boy Going Viral: Kid wishing for father pain to get better
People dressed as Santa Claus during the holidays are used for children’s toys and utilities for Christmas. However, a boy asked for his father’s healing alone and a Santa‘s reaction in Garland, Texas, disappeared.
All Jacob Coker was on the Christmas list this year because his father would feel better, and when he and his mother went to the local mall, he approached a man dress St. Nick at Bass Pro Shops and told him just hoping for him during the holidays.
Coker’s father, Jason, had a blood condition that the doctors could not diagnose and had taken him in and out of the hospital for the past two years. After his father’s last hospital visit on Dec. 10, the 12-year-old knew he and his family needed this Christmas and that’s what he asked for.
He told KXAS-TV: “All he asks for, all he wants is for me to help his father.” He said he had a lot of pain.
Santa, filled with the boy’s request, tells Coker that his specialty is toys but he wants to pray to him. Prayer was taken with a camera when a nearby woman felt led to a snapshot of the precious moment.
“I asked God to help him with pain and he would have enough fun in his heart to overcome the pain,” Santa recalled.
People in the shopping mall and Bass Pro Shops staff say the time has reminded them of “What Christmas Is.”
To the surprise of the Coker family, the photo of the time is now on Facebook and is now shared by thousands of people. The article about the virus eventually became a GoFundMe campaign that wanted to help cover the costs of family medical bills that would make part of this boy’s Christmas wish come true.
Jason Coker told KXAS-TV about his son’s actions and reactions. “It’s warm when so many people there believe and care.”
According to GofundMe, Jason is an electrician and the only one in his family, making his health struggle in the last two years very difficult for him and his family. The fundraiser is run by a family friend, Aubrey Blankenship, noting that it is not “their nature” to accept help, but she encourages support because Cokers is “kind, and most of them give. “
“Jacob’s father is the primary source of support for their families, sick people, imminent medical bills, and lost wages that ruin the holiday season.” heard a member of their family complain. “Jason, the soldier crossed and went back to work to make sure he could take care of his family, while his wife Emma worked miraculously to get her. In these two people there is a Texas-sized heart and the whole family is living proof of how they live God’s love. “
Blankenship hopes that this money will help Jacob “want to be Jacob’s Christmas” as well as show his son’s love that “God is so good, His love and grace are strong enough and those prayers answered. “
Furthermore, Jacob’s mother, Emily, shared with KXAS-TV that she was just grateful for the prayers and support.
“Thank you very much for your prayers, for your thoughts, for your help and for making a Christmas our kids will never forget and we will never forget. I forgot, “she said.
